He really isn’t as bad as Blaine makes him out to be. I will admit, my cat is slightly insane, but I’m pretty sure it’s only because he gets jealous when Blaine plays with Audrey. He plays with Audrey a lot more than he plays with Norman. And really, all Norman wants is to curl up in a ball on someone’s lap or stomach.
I actually came home today and Blaine was passed out on the couch on his stomach, the baby monitor in his hand that was hanging off of the edge, and Norman was curled up on the back of his neck. Blaine doesn’t know because Norman moved when I got home and started doing things in the kitchen. Blaine just thinks Norman is out to get him, but that cat really loves him and thinks Blaine is his giant pillow.
Each day Blaine gets far more ridiculous with Norman. Need I remind everyone that Norman is a cat? A small cat. A kitten-like cat. I came home from work today, and Blaine was sitting in the living on the couch, leaning forward and Norman was sitting directly across from Blaine on the coffee table, his tail swishing slowly and they were just staring at each other. They were just sitting there staring at each other and I just… what the hell. And then I said one thing and Blaine does off on a tirade about how Norman hates him and he’s plotting against him because he wants me to himself. I think what really did Blaine in is when I couldn’t stop my laughter and Norman walked over to me and jumped in my arms. And what’s really funny, is Norman looked at Blaine as soon as I was holding him. Maybe Blaine’s right.
But for goodness sake, he’s a cat. They both need cat/human therapy and talk out their differences or something.
I think Norman is jealous of Blaine… and it’s kind of weird.
I was laying in bed on my laptop and Blaine jumped on and took my glasses off and started snuggling against me. And Blaine is very… vocal. He hums and whimpers and moans and sighs, and Norman is sitting on the chair we have in the corner of the room and when Blaine’s being noisy, he looks at him with that look and walks over as slowly as possible. This cat stands on my hip and just watches Blaine as Blaine nuzzles his face in my neck. God, my cat is so weird. He jumps off of my hip and lands between us and crawls in my shirt and works his way up, sticks his arm out and swats at Blaine’s face until Blaine moves it away from my neck and then pokes his head out of the collar of my shirt and just stares at Blaine like, “mine”.
Should I be freaked out?
Norman slept against my neck last night. Basically, I slept on my side, facing Blaine, and Norman was curled up under my chin. You’d think this would be uncomfortable, but it wasn’t. Anyways, every morning when Blaine wakes up, he hugs me for a at least ten minutes before he gets out of bed. This morning, he went to nuzzle his face in my neck and got a face full of cat fur. Norman just lifted his head and stared at him like he was crazy and Blaine stared back, and I swear it’s hard living with these two.
So I’m sitting in the living room watching Tv,
and Blaine’s in Delilah’s room and then all of a sudden he comes running out, Norman right behind him, his claws out and swatting at the heels of Blaine’s feet. It was hilarious and I laughed. Blaine didn’t think so though. He yelled at me telling me that my cat was a serial killer. And I don’t know, it made me laugh more, and Norman just jumped on the couch, licked his paw and curled up in my lap. God, I love this cat.
